Napoleon Bust 3D Scan
myminifactory
This is a 3D scan of Napoleon's bust from the Usher Gallery and The Collection in Lincoln, UK. A marble bust created by Antoine Denis Chaudet in the 18th Century was scanned by Oliver Laric in 2013. I chose to make the scan hollow and split it into two pieces to save materials and time. To add weight, I filled each printed half with plaster. After priming and painting it black, I applied a wax coat to give it an antique gold appearance. The original file and information can be found at lincoln3dscans.co.uk/napoleon and 3dwp.nl.
