Napkin Holder Leaf - screws, mirrored, and merged
thingiverse
IMPORTANT: I was unable to successfully export the combined negative parts for the leaf sides, so I've included it as a separate STL. You will need to make this part negative in your slicer and line it up correctly with the bottom of the leaf. It should be flush with the bottom. Props to the original creator of this amazing design! Original design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3008547 The original design had multiple parts, and when I tried to merge them, they did not line up and physically connect enough to be structurally sound. I scaled up each part individually a bit so it would connect (there are now only 5 or 6 missing connections instead of hundreds). I like printing multi-color prints on my prusa mk3s by adding color changes at different layer heights, and this leaf design was already ideal for that. During scaling up I also scaled up all parts by 10% so this is slightly bigger than the original. Also mirrored the side leafs so they would be symmetrical, I think it makes more sense this way. The base has holes all the way through, so when I tried to glue it together the glue all came through the bottom of the base. Didn't like this so added screw holes. Screw holes are 8mm long by 1.5mm thick, with a 5mm head size. I used some spare 9g servo motor mounting screws for this. Seems much more sturdy with this design and you can still add a bit of glue for extra support.
