The Railton-Railton is an aerobilled motorcar fabricated in 1933, planned by Thomson Taylor at the command of John Cobb, and worked together with Railton as lead engineer. It was run primarily on the Brooklands racing track where it maintains its record-setting lap speed of (230.84 km/h or 143.44 mph) since its establishment in 1935. Over the four years spanning from 1933 to 1937, the Railton-Railton broke 47 all-time global speed records. Purchased by the Brooklands Motor Museum approximately around 1997 through the backing of both Britain's Heritage Lottery Fund and generous donors worldwide, it continues functioning as before its initial acquisition. Routinely taken for spins across various tracks including but not limited to those located at Goodwood and more, its well-oiled wheels are still seen racing to great acclaim even today. It typically appears at this famous festival every year where onlookers from around the world flock to catch a glimpse of history unfolding firsthand in slow motion.
