Naoshima Cloud Pavilion
sketchfab
The Naoshima Cloud Pavilion is an eye-catching bike shed crafted by renowned architectural firm SANAA for the picturesque island of Naoshima in Japan. This innovative structure marks a significant milestone for the architects, who have long been captivated by spherical forms but had yet to bring one to life using soft space materials. Although designs for similar installations were initially tested for implementation at Sharjah and Noble Center, neither project came to fruition. The pavilion's model was meticulously created with Grasshopper software, allowing for a range of permutations based on the positioning of a populated 3D grid.
