Nanopresso Grain Funnel

Nanopresso Grain Funnel

I recently acquired a Nanopresso and found that pouring freshly ground coffee beans into the basket was a real challenge - until I switched to pre-ground coffee! I've since learned to grind just before brewing, which is said to yield the best shot, so I purchased a manual grinder since I only make one cup per day in the morning. I use the Nanopresso spoon for measuring, which also provides an accurate measurement for the basket. However, every time I poured the ground coffee into the basket, I would spill some and end up reducing the amount of grain needed for a perfect shot. That's no longer a problem with this wide funnel. Now, I simply pour half the grain into the basket and press down at medium pressure using the polka-dot side of the DualTamper. The dots on the tamper are designed to create a jagged surface, which helps prevent layering when you apply the second tamp using the flat surface of the DualTamper. If you have a glass bed and a well-calibrated printer, you can skip the original Nanopresso tamper altogether. But if not, just re-tamp with the original tamper for the best results - and make sure to use the flat surface on the basket. Bed leveling is key, regardless of your print settings. Get it right, and you'll be enjoying perfect shots in no time!
