Nanopresso Grain Funnel

Nanopresso Grain Funnel

I just started using my Nanopresso for a couple of weeks and I discovered that pouring fresh-grind grain into the basket was a significant issue for me. However, it's much easier if you buy pre-ground coffee. To achieve the best shot, I learned to grind the beans right before brewing, so I purchased a hand grinder since I only make one cup a day in the morning. I use the Nanopresso spoon to measure out the perfect amount of coffee for the basket, but every time I poured the ground coffee into the basket, I would spill some and end up using less grain than necessary for a perfect shot. This was frustrating. Now that's no longer an issue with this wide funnel. Simply pour half the grain into the basket and press down at medium pressure with the polkadot-side of the DualTamper. The dots on this side are designed to create a textured surface, allowing the second tamp to create a uniform layer instead of a layered one. Use the flat surface of the DualTamper for the second tamp. If you have a glass bed and a well-calibrated printer, you can skip using the original Nanopresso tamper altogether. But if not, re-tamp with the original tamper for optimal results. The print settings don't matter much, but getting the bed leveling right is crucial to get a flat tamp.
