Nanoleaf inspired Flower for Children´s room
thingiverse
I created a Nanoleaf-inspired flower for my little sister's 5th birthday. She loves the original thing I made for myself, which was inspired by Surrbradl. So, I decided to make a more child-friendly version just for her. I designed it using Tinkercad and printed it on our Anet A8. However, I encountered many problems with printing because I didn't know that Cura has issues with file names. After searching and trying a lot, I finally used Slic3r for this project, which worked perfectly. The problem was that German letters in the file name caused Cura to stay at 0.3 on the Z-Axis without moving every layer. Another issue was that Cura didn't slice the Flowerleaf correctly on the last layer. My dad helped me with soldering. I used the original software, which I tried to modify for my needs. I want to thank the owner of the original thing for their help. Often, I overcomplicated things. The software doesn't work 100%, but it's okay for my purposes. The off-timer didn't work as I expected - I wanted to make the brightness dim to zero at night. Some patterns also didn't work. But for my sister, everything is fine because she loves the sparkling rainbow and some solid colors like pink. She doesn't need the patterns, so it's not a problem for her. I'll try to fix these issues when I have more time - maybe during Easter holidays. Files: https://github.com/ediciuStsaF/Nanoleaf-inspired-flower
