Nanode Version 5 (London Hackspace Version)
thingiverse
Nanode is a network application node similar to Arduino, but with ethernet/web connectivity support. It offers easy wired and wireless networking capabilities, making it an affordable tool for developing simple sensor networks. Perfect for smart sensors, home automation, monitoring and control, Nanode's through-hole construction and socketed DIP ICs make it user-friendly for home constructors. Priced around $30 US or £18, it competes with Arduino while featuring built-in ethernet controller, unique MAC address ID, external EEPROM/FRAM/SRAM/Flash device support for increased data storage, and compatibility with most Arduino shields. Additional features include SPI serial memory for storing data and web pages, Microchip MAC chip for a unique MAC address, wireless connectivity through Jee Labs RFM12B module, improved connector for local power/comms bus with 4-way telephone cable support, and London Hackspace, Pachube, and Arbour Wood Ltd logos. The board also includes Auto-reset from FTDI cable and Virtual USB Vusb for programming. EagleCAD schematic and board files are included for making the board by pcb fab-house, with zipped Gerbers provided as well.
