Nano Talon Tail Part
thingiverse
I found two more on Thingiverse to be poorly fitting, requiring considerable time-consuming filing to get them to fit properly. So I decided to draw and print one that fits perfectly with virtually no filing required at all. Print one in the same orientation as a traffic cone and measure the diameter of the long cylinder part. If you have about 5.5mm diameter, you're good to go scale-wise. Unless you have amazing part cooling, you'll likely find the filament overheats at the top of the print. Easy to fix with some filing or just print several at a time to allow it to cool down. This print requires a 0.3mm nozzle; your slicer may let you get away with a 0.4mm nozzle, but it's really thin-walled at the top. Given different printer tolerances, I've uploaded two designs – one has a slightly bigger hole for the tail's carbon spar to locate in. It's best to print both and feel out which one works for you. Once you have a good fit, add a dab of glue where this print meets the black plastic control arm to prevent losing another one. I've tested this print and continue to use it successfully.
