Nano Backpacking Fishing Pole
thingiverse
I designed another fully printable fishing pole from scratch, making it perfect for backpacking trips or a fun project with kids. I had initially tried printing a smaller version but the handle was too small to work effectively, so I tweaked that idea and created this one instead. The result is a functional fishing pole that weighs less than 4oz, ideal for catching larger trout. As an added bonus, I included an extra eye on this design, allowing you to attach a tent stake, hiking pole or even just a stick to the bottom of the pole with 4 zip ties and then add the eye on top. This creates a longer pole if needed, making it perfect for deep water fishing. I'm planning a 14-mile backpacking trip to a lake and small river where I don't need any fancy gear, just something big enough to catch trout between 16" - 20". This emergency fishing pole fits the bill perfectly. You can shorten the handle if necessary and print it on a smaller bed, but it works great on a 300x300 bed. Keep in mind that this design took 12 hours to complete and may require some sanding to get the parts fitting together snugly.
