A fork for chips, snacks...and most importantly, for eating chicken! The story of Nando's began centuries ago when Portuguese explorers set sail for the East in search of adventure and the legendary spice route. Africa's winds called them ashore and it was there, under the warm sun, in the rich soil that they discovered the African Bird's Eye Chilli, also known as PERi-PERi. A unique sauce was created using this spice, putting fire in their bellies and igniting passion in their souls. Nando's is a South African casual dining restaurant group originating from the Mozambican-Portuguese community with a Portuguese/Mozambiquan theme. Founded in 1987, Nando's operates about 1,000 outlets in twenty-four countries on five continents.
