Ukhimath is a quaint town and a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site situated in Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand, India. During the harsh winter months, the revered idols from Kedarnath temple and Madhyamaheshwar are carefully transported to Ukhimath where they are worshiped for six months. This enchanting town boasts numerous ancient temples dedicated to various deities such as Usha, Shiva, Aniruddha, Parvati, and Mandhata. Strategically located on the road connecting Guptkashi with Gopeshwar, the holy town is predominantly inhabited by the esteemed head priests of Kedarnath known as Rawals.
