Nameplate
thingiverse
A sleek desktop nameplate, crafted from the letters themselves. The picture showcases "Willi Wusel", a German name often used as a placeholder, similar to "FooBar" in English. Customize the object to display your own text: Click "Open in Customizer" above or install OpenSCAD on your computer. ***Bugfix***: Letters that dip below the writing line (p, q, j) are now fully visible without being cut off. There are two designs: 1. The heights of the letters vary randomly, resulting in a unique look each time you render it. 2. The extruded letters rotate right or left by an angle you specify. ***BUGFIX***: The customizer is now functional. If your font has disconnected parts (like the dot on the letter 'i' or 'j'), leave on automatic detection to attempt connecting the dots during printing. You can customize: - The displayed text - The style (Random_height or Rotated) - The font. Nice options include "Spicy Rice". Other fonts may work, but ensure they are wide enough for overlapping letters in printing. - Font size - Letter overlap - Base type (Bar, Rounded, or None). Use 'None' if using a single word that fits within one printable piece. ***If you've printed this design, please share a photo via the "post a make" button.
