This pen, pencil, and tool holder is inspired by falcon20cne's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:39632), which truly deserves more than its current 14 likes. The user who won first place in the International Pen Pencil Holder Cool Thing Judge Symposium back in '06 certainly knows a great design when they see one! This holder also allows you to personalize it by adding your name, perfect for those who often have visitors in their workspace and need a reminder of their identity. However, it's not recommended as a gift for your mother-in-law, as it might send the wrong signal. To use this design, first print the base in your preferred color. Then, open the name.skp file in SketchUp and add your desired text using the 'Tools, 3D Text' feature. Select a font style (the designer used script) and ensure it fits the long bar of the holder. Once satisfied, print the nameplate and attach it to the channel in the holder using acetone. Enjoy your personalized organizer!
