Nalgene Bottle Clip
thingiverse
Ever catch yourself taking a drink only to get splashed from the water in your nalgene's cap? You might have discovered the "one finger hold down" grasp, which allows you to turn your bottle into a more conventional drinkware container by keeping the lid closed. I find that drinking more water throughout the day becomes easier when the cap is securely back and the bottle resembles a large cup. I've had this modification on two of my bottles for over a year now, and it has held up remarkably well even in harsh outdoor conditions like hiking, drops, and freezing temperatures. After printing, I cut a small strip of 3M outdoor mounting tape and attach it to the back. It's easier to stick the part onto the roll first and then trim along the bottom edge of the part. If you're using a non-raft version and add your own raft, your slicer might fill in the tricky area inside the clip, making cleanup difficult. That's why I've included a part with a raft that sticks to the bed but is still easy to clean up. Please share photos and leave comments!
