Private Fred Docherty's Nail Scissors, a Rare Artifact from World War I, Now Digitized by Teesside University. These historic nail scissors, carefully preserved at Darlington Library's Centre for Local Studies, hold the story of Private Fred Docherty's internment in a prisoner-of-war camp around 1918. In 2019, the Centre entrusted these treasured artifacts to Forensic Lab at Teesside University, where they were meticulously scanned using a high-tech 3D surface scanner. Rememorial WWI and Charlie Tait/Ben Roberts from Teesside University are credited for requesting the 3D scanning of this crucial artifact and granting permission for its publication on SketchFab, allowing people worldwide to explore and appreciate the historical significance of these nail scissors up close.
