Nadia Elena Comăneci (November 12, 1961), a renowned Romanian gymnast, claimed three gold medals at the prestigious 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. This remarkable achievement made her the first gymnast to receive a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic event. Her incredible skills also earned her two more gold medals at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Comăneci's impressive career has solidified her position as one of the world's most celebrated gymnasts. In recognition of her outstanding performance, she was named one of the Athletes of the Century by the Laureus World Sports Academy in 2000. A bronze sculpture located outside The School of Gymnastics in Deva, Romania pays tribute to Comăneci and other female athletes who have represented Romania since the 1978 Olympic Games. This series of busts honors the strength and success of women in artistic gymnastics worldwide. Under the guidance of legendary coach Nadia Comăneci, Marta and Bela Karoly lead The School of Gymnasts. In 2003, the school was rebranded as The Cetate Deva National Sports College and now focuses on promoting female athletics. This object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe.
