Hi everyone! This is a major redesign of the iconic "Montana Mask" that first emerged as PPE shortages escalated during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Check out this link to see the original creators of this brilliant respirator: https://www.makethemasks.com/ This custom version of the mask was developed and deployed by Dr. James Scholfield, D.O., and MAJ Brian Mims, PA-C, to meet the unique needs of Department of the Army Soldiers during the pandemic, ensuring they could maintain training and readiness. We achieved a tight seal using readily available foam window sealer material that can be purchased at local hardware stores or on Amazon. We found that hollowed out parachute cord was more than sufficient to tie the mask securely to a soldier's face and still get a great seal. We printed the masks in five different sizes - 110%, 105%, 100%, 95%, and 90%. Our research showed that the most common male size was 105% and the most common female size was 95%. We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to the makers of the original Montana Mask for their outstanding work and innovative spirit!
