The original open-source file left a lot to be desired. For starters, it failed to form a seal on your face. I fixed that issue immediately. It featured a logo prominently displayed - seriously, what kind of self-absorbed individual would waste everyone's time and resources printing their ego-gratifying logo during a crisis? I eliminated that unnecessary feature. The design was cluttered with extra material throughout, which made it look amateurish. I streamlined the design to make it more efficient. Some design elements caused problems with thread alignment, resulting in incorrect printing. I corrected those issues. Those same design elements made the air filter compartment prone to breaking away from the mask due to a thin wall at its base. I strengthened that area to prevent such breakages. The original design was uncomfortable to wear. I improved it significantly, but there's still room for further refinement. The original design lacked guides to ensure accurate gluing of the mask components. I added those guides to make assembly easier. To secure a comfortable fit, you fold the top wings (located on either side of the nose) down towards your face. A 90-degree angle seems to work best for me, but feel free to experiment and find what suits you best.
