N95 Mask Ear Saver
thingiverse
The printed original model worked flawlessly, taking approximately 17 minutes to complete one unit. Following a thorough re-design of its shape and thickness, this new iteration can now be printed at significantly faster speeds, finishing one unit in just about 4 minutes while maintaining identical printer settings. One notable improvement is the added flexibility and surprising strength that comes with adjusting the thickness of this version. Moreover, to eliminate any sharp edges present on the original part, radii have been incorporated around its entire perimeter. The robustness of this design was tested by applying considerable force until it finally snapped in half. A total of 39 pieces were successfully printed using an Anet A8 printer without encountering any issues, and the estimated print time came out to be 2 hours and 43 minutes. So far, there have been no problems reported. These units will continue to be printed extensively until a supply of filament is depleted, after which they will be donated to local hospitals, friends, and family members working in the medical field as a gesture of appreciation. Special thanks go out to ZSDesignz for developing the original concept and design that made this improved version possible.
