N95 Mask Cinch
thingiverse
Designed to fill the void left by weakened elastic straps on N95 masks. 1) Pass the strap through the nut and ensure roughly equal length on each side of the nut so it remains centered. 2) Screw the nut onto the base ensuring the strap lays in the cutouts on the base shaft. 3) Adjust the slack as needed then tighten the nut. 4) Repeat this process for the other strap. Note #1: This solution has not been tested by medical professionals. Note #2: A commercial solution would be a cord cinch like the one below. I'm unsure if it would hold tightly or not, but this 3D printed design holds very tight when the nut is tightened. https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Spring-Toggle-Stoppers-Multi-colour/dp/B01FH9DYU6/ref=zg_bs_17545028011_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=5F84KPGTX8X89GDKGBB3 Update: An image of a mask similar to the N95 type has been added.
