A Custom Adaptation for the 6mm Adjuster Strap. It's become extremely challenging to obtain 6mm elastic material for masks as people stockpile what they believe are essential mask making supplies. However, some rubber bands will fit perfectly instead. The length of the adjuster has been altered to accommodate the thickness of the rubber band. The clips have been eliminated because I don't think this method is a good way to secure the material to the frame, nor is it comfortable for extended wear. I'm unsure what Koshi1 refers to with "paper," but I believe sewing (even a simple running stitch that I can almost master) is significantly more secure and comfortable. An attempt at a pattern has been added; however, please note that I'm not a seamstress and am far from being a professional. If someone has a better design or can correct this one, I'd appreciate it! Be aware that the pattern needs to be adjusted according to the material thickness. The original design by Koshi1 is ingenious - simple, adaptable, and easily assembled. By sewing it together (or using a glue stick if there's a suitable paper-like filter material), the frame can be disassembled and cleaned. The material can be washed or replaced, while the frame pieces can be sanitized with isopropyl alcohol (anything over 60% will kill COVID-19 according to the WHO). The frame needs to be printed in PETG (as Koshi1 advised) or PLA+/PLapro, which is more flexible than normal PLA. These pieces print very thin and are designed to be highly flexible.
