N20 Motor to Lego Adapter

N20 Motor to Lego Adapter

I have numerous N20 style motors lying around that I want to use with Lego. This mount attaches just like the Lego Power Function motor mounts, featuring a pin on each side of the shaft. The motor clips in from the back, securing the adapter shaft in place so no screws are required. All dimensions are set to work seamlessly with Pololu micro metal gearmotors (50:1 HPCB is shown in the picture) but this should also be compatible with other N20 style motors. The attached .scad file allows you to modify it to suit your needs or simply adjust the clearance value if it's too loose or tight of a fit. Running a 4.9mm or 0.193" drill bit through the pin holes helps clean them up while maintaining a snug friction fit. Printed in PLA on Prusa i3 MK3, with a 0.1mm layer height and three perimeters without any supports.
