One of the primary challenges with 3D printed masks lies within their filtration system. This particular mask boasts a 22mm hose connector, but its design has been reversed and extruded inaccurately. Hospital CPAP filters are categorized as N100, offering superior protection compared to N95. Moreover, they are far more readily available and widely used up to this point. Consequently, I have created a suck-down mask that can utilize these high-quality filters. In contrast to 3D printing, suck downs can be manufactured in mere minutes. To further enhance the design, I have incorporated resin relief holes and hollowed out the model. The size of the mask is carefully calibrated to under 120mm, allowing it to fit seamlessly within simple bleaching tray thermoforming machines as well.
