A simple 900mm Radius arc to mount a piece of flex track on to test how free rolling your trucks are. In N-scale you can put an entire car on the track and test the car as a whole. This is designed to fit on a 200x200 print bed. Place the truck at the top mark, release and count the number of direction changes. For me a bad truck will change directions 3-4 times, a good one will change directions 6+ times. Place a whole car and line up the center of the car with the 2nd mark. A free rolling car will change directions 4+ times. I have a few cars that only changes direction once. Adding an additional car weight to an already weighted car does not significantly effect the outcome. I'll be standardizing on 4+ direction changes for a car to go on the layout. The pennycar takes 10 pennies and weighs just over 1oz, a perfect NMRA standin for a 50' car. It just sets onto the trucks to let you quickly test a pair of trucks without mounting them to a car body.
