These Diamond Arch-Bar trucks are modelled off of Chicago & Northwestern's style of arch-bar trucks, of which the plans are featured in the 1895 Car Builder's Cyclopedia, Figure 4741. Reference photos of V&T 1015 were used for creating this model, which is an ex-C&NW boxcar according to the Nevada State Railroad Museum, who currently owns this prototype boxcar. V&T Box Car #1015 (nsrm-friends.org) I've included an AT&SF version of the trucks I've found in a few pictures, the center support is different. It's a foobie, as it's just a slight modification to the CNW trucks that I completely eyeballed, but at this scale, it probably doesn't make any difference. The axles are toleranced to accept intermountain axles (only metal axles I could get my hands on currently), but they should hold MTL axles just as well, although they might need a tiny bit of squishing. The width of the part is exactly to scale, although some other details might have been thickened for printability. I printed these on a prusa SL1S with siryatech smoky black (if I remember correctly). I will release the coach bogies when I get around to finishing my combine model, sadly, college has been not giving me time to rail model. If you really need it, send me a DM on here, I probably still go on printables at least once a month or so, so I should see the notification. I'll get some nicer pictures if I ever remember, too. The trucks look nice when painted, but you'll have to take my word for it until I get around to my model railroad again. Oh, the kit pictured is the Fine-N-Scale boxcar kit. I would highly recommend it; the kit is wonderful. The company is still active as of this past summer. I got mine off ebay, it appears not many stores carry it. This model is shared under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, which means that you can freely use this model for any non-commercial purpose, and may remix and alter this model freely as long as you provide attribution and share with the same creative commons license.
