These are designed specifically for lining N scale model train tunnels. There are two types of liner available: a simple straight liner and an angled liner. The STL file has six straight liners and twelve angled liners, which are perfect for working with Woodland Scenics cast plaster tunnel mouths. They provide ample clearance for UK and European models, even allowing enough room for catenary. You can see Viessmann brass catenary strip in the right-hand tunnel in one of the photos, held in place by the "Tunnel Mount Strip Holder," which needs to be stuck at the top of each end segment or possibly intermediate ones too, if you have a long tunnel liner. This clearance offers various installation options: you can print the segments in an appropriate color and install them directly; paint the interior, such as matt black, as shown in my photo; or line them with paper/card/plastic material to represent your preferred interior - again, see the photos. These liners are self-supporting, allowing you to test fit and run trains through before fixing them in place. When dealing with tunnels on a corner, you'll need combinations of straight and angled segments to complete the curve at the right radius. After testing the fit, I typically mark the outside of each segment and then stick them all together to form a single piece. By using sufficient glue, you can make the joints water-tight, which is a significant benefit when it comes to scenery fitting. Another option is to install the assembled segments and fix them to the scenery rather than the baseboard, allowing the whole tunnel to be lifted off - this wouldn't work with catenary, of course. The segments are printed upside down to avoid the need for any support structure and usually print very cleanly due to this method.
