This model is part of a set of models that I have designed as the urban portion for my N-Scale model railroad. The set consists of 5 buildings from the east side of Osborne Street Village, located in Winnipeg, Canada, my hometown. Osborne Street Village exudes an artsy atmosphere and boasts some of the city's most popular live music venues and watering holes, along with numerous restaurants that seem to stretch on forever. Along the main strip, you'll find swanky shopping boutiques and bohemian stores, jewelers, cooking supply shops, a record store featuring an impressive collection of vinyl records, yoga studios, and a renowned theater known for its comedy performances. In 2012, the Canadian Institute of Planners honored it as Canada's Greatest Neighbourhood – and with good reason. Building #3 is The Chook Building, situated on the east side of Osborne Street between River Avenue and Stradbrook.
