This is a set of precision height gauges designed specifically for mounting body couplers on N Scale rolling stock. These gauges are engineered to match the four standard heights used in Micro-Trains couplers, ensuring accurate and reliable results. Key specifications include: * .220 inches for 2000 series underslung couplers * .275 inches for 1025 couplers and similar models * .279 inches for 1015/1016 couplers with a supplied shim (or older versions with a thick lid) * .293 inches for 1015/1016 couplers without a shim, or older versions with a thin lid The gauge's finger is 5mm wide, roughly the same width as most coupler boxes. To achieve optimal results when printing these gauges, it's best to print them vertically on the square end. You may need to adjust the thickness by a few thousandths or .1mm; sanding and measuring are recommended to achieve the final height. Mount the gauge on the track and roll the car up to it to check the mounting height with ease. Micro-Trains recommends a tolerance of +/- 0.005 inches for coupler mounting.
