N_Fine_Tuning_Adapter_Remix
prusaprinters

I have created this remix of the Fine Tuning Adapter with a more coarse threading. Especially with more ridgid PETG makes it easy to assemble.

Update 11 of April 18th 2020:

placed the two parts side by side

removed the overhang in the upper part by an 40° angle

I have chosen to make a wider threading, isometric M14x2, so that the threads are more coarse and so easier to print functionally. I fine tuned the threading even more manually, so that it has a little more play. Still the thread has enough friction to stay at the position it was dialed in for. The thread works for me out of the printer without any postprocessing.

Addtionally I have made the base wider, so it fits the M4 brass threaded inserts that are available to me: Ruthex RX-M4x8,1

The dimension of the hole are 5.6mm in diameter and 9.82mm in length.

Happy printing everyone!

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.15

Infill:

30%

Filament: DasFilament PETG White

Notes:

Printed with 6 perimeters to have enough material to melt in the brass insert.
