GAL\n Men'sula, salon of Pazo de Xelmirez, S.XIII. (Santiago de Compostela) \nOnly men'sula situated on the western side in line with the facade of the Cathedral. \nIn the center, two characters seated support a lute slightly mutilated that does not affect the interpretation of the document. Both musicians wear clothes with decorated borders and crowns with gems that encircle their heads. In the image we see how the instrument is placed at an oblique position relative to the axis of the body as the keys return to their position due to their own weight.\nOn the left side, a musician makes sound with a bow that attacks the strings in the middle of the box, a viola oval foot that would have a longer mast than the rest of the viols. A decoration on the end of the rail extends above the neck.
