Yes, this is the fabled Mythulhu from episode 3 of Mythbusters: The Search! Designed in 123D Design and transformed into a laser cut-able sculpture in 123D Make, I'd like to extend my heartfelt thanks to ingenious Myth-builder Aaron Mattia, who diligently operated the laser cutter while fellow contestants were wading through contact cement! The majestic Mythulhu figurehead was originally intended to adorn the front of team blue's cardboard boat (hence its flat rear). However, on the day of the competition it was decided that the waterline would be too high and Mythulhu's "rump" was expertly trimmed with a sawzall and drywall secured to the top of the bow. To 3D print this ancient idol successfully, you should probably adopt a similar strategy and add some form of base to the model. EDIT: I've come to realize that this model likely prints with daunting supports, so apologies in advance! It was designed with cardboard in mind, consider it a trial testing your worthiness as a worthy custodian of the idol. Mythulhu is said to reside at the bottom of prehistoric Quarry Lakes Regional Park in a foreboding land known only as Fremont, California. Keeping a Mythulhu idol nearby will bring you safe travels and also spark discord amongst your adversaries;). All Hail Mythulhu! OOOOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
