The most iconic emblem associated with Mandalorians, commonly referred to as the "Kyr'bes". Mandalorian "Krybes" (unknown) is arguably the most widely recognized symbol of the Mandalorians and a subject of much debate. Its origins are unclear, and there are multiple factions on the origin of the symbol. The first faction asserts that the skull represents a "Bantha," but I'm uncertain about the source of this theory...the skull design itself bears no resemblance to that of a Bantha. The second faction claims that the symbol honors an ancient Mandalorian training master, which is supported by the Star Wars Insider article; "The History of the Mandalorians" by Abel G. Peña. Finally, the third faction posits that the symbol is based on the skulls of ancient "Mythosaurs", massive reptiles that dominated the surface of early Mandalore before the arrival of the Taung species.
