THIS IS NOT MY DESIGN, I designed the split design using Netfab for multi color printing. Info from original design found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4056893 Check out all of the Mythic Mugs in their webshop at https://arsmoriendi3d.com. Wondering how to paint them? Check out this great video tutorial made by Gaming Geek (linked with permission) at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiAM-7UmqrQ&feature=youtu.be&t=394. The Mythic Mugs is a series of highly detailed can holders, taking classic fantasy elements and putting them into mug form. The Lion's Brew is a freebie from the Kickstarter Mythic Mugs that ended on January 11th, 2020. Mythic Mugs - 3D Printable Fantasy Can Holders We created a unique Can Insert System that makes one mug very flexible, able to hold various can sizes: 250ml/8.3oz 300ml/10.1oz 330ml/11.3oz (both regular and sleek) 355ml/12oz (both regular, sleek and bottles) 375ml/12.7oz 440ml/14.9oz 473ml/16oz 500ml/16.9oz (fits with no insert used) OR, scale the mug up by 10,625% and it will be able to hold: 23oz, 23.5oz and 25oz (73mm diameter cans). All Mythic Mugs feature an option for a screw lid. This way you can use the mug on the go to carry your dice without them spilling everywhere. After unpacking at your destination you're ready to load a can into your mug and roll those dice. Print either without threads; or with threads if you want to use the lid. Both versions are able to hold cans. The lid can't be screwed on if there is a can sitting inside it. The Mythic Mugs have been designed as can holders and we don't advise you to drink directly from them. The Mythic Mugs series and Can Insert System is designed by Ars Moriendi 3D. Commercial use is restricted to our exclusive licensed sellers only. Print Settings Printer brand: Creality Printer: CR-10 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 12% Filament_brand: 3D Hero Filament_color: Silk White Filament_material: PLA These are the settings we suggest for a sturdy mug with a nice finish: •3 walls/shells •4 top and bottom layers •10-12% infill •0.2mm layer height •No support •Default printing speed between 50 and 80mm/s (Sometimes a higher speed can decrease the prints quality depending on the printer, this is a setting to experiment with!) For a faster print you can consider going up to a 0.3mm layer height and decrease walls/shells to 2. Post-Printing Alternatives to cans: •Tossware makes 12oz recycled plastic cans with an open top. We are not affiliated with them in any way, but their product is a great choice for the can holders, if you are in a country that can purchase them. •Coat the insides with foodsafe resin. This is not something we recommend. 3D-prints will have small layers that can be hard to clean from bacteria, so think twice about doing this. •Take an empty can and use a can opener to remove the top. Sand the edge thoroughly and that can work as a foodsafe insert. Do be careful doing this, the edge of a can is thin and sharp! Alternatively it might be possible to buy a new and unsealed can. •Not a fan of liquids? The mugs make perfect holders for pencils, brushes or dice!
