The sururu, also known as Mytella charruana, is a type of bivalve mollusk that lives inside two-halved shells. This mussel species is native to Northeastern Brazil, particularly in the state of Alagoas, where it holds an important place in the region's Intangible Heritage. As a tribute to this heritage and the natural wealth of the area, we created a unique design that honors both tradition and modernity. By combining the contemporary trend of choker necklaces with the distinctive shell-like shape of sururu, we've managed to create a truly timeless piece. The elegant color scheme adds an air of sophistication, elevating this jewel to new heights. Developed in collaboration with Universidade Federal de Alagoas, this design was crafted by Nycole G. Gomes Farias and Lucas dos S. Vasconcelos.
