I reworked some key parts from Occhiali Style 1 by taking off the hinges and earpieces. The original print worked smoothly, but every time I tried assembling it, the hinge on the frame part broke apart almost immediately. To try to solve this, I adjusted the settings and printed with 3 shells instead of the standard 2, plus down-sized the earpiece height. However, I still ended up snapping off the hinges during assembly. The Original Model I re-imported STL files into 3ds Max and redesigned the hinge from Occhiali's model. To do this, I deleted parts and used target welding on the original Mystery Science Theater frames. In some cases, I utilized the "union" boolean operation to combine the new hinges with the old frames. The STL check would have probably resolved the issue on its own, but I was short on time and opted to manually fix it in Netfabb instead for my final export.
