myRCar
thingiverse
Hi, I'm creating this post to share with you what I changed on original projects to build my own myRCar... It is running very well and is faster and more reliable than I was expecting, for a car that is all printed in PETG (just few parts in PLA), standard TPU (with 95A shore) and TPE (FilaFlex with 82A shore). I started to print the cool project "Chasis 1/10 Adaptable by dukedoks" and then I started to add more features and improving some thing that was not woring well for my project. My first modification or add-on it was to add an differential, I found this cool project "Differential" by SlovakFan83". With this differential I no longer get problems driving the car on straight line and whren changing direction is mutch more resposnsive and precise. For this differencial I have designed a case that you can print and use it if you want to protect your differential gears from dust. After I saw also this project "Custom RC Car with 1/10 Adaptable Chassis Remix" by DBIANX" and from this project I selected only the rear struture to add the rear Spoiler and the two shocks (60mm). Also I printed the body case just to protect eletronics (but I will try to design in futture my own body case to this project). Finally and because I was getting problems with tires from inicial project (because I was priting them with TPU 95A) and they were to small, I found this project "Lynx - Fully 3D-printable 1/10 4wd buggy by tahustvedt" where I redesign the rear rims to use them with rear differential. In future I will also redesign front rims and add them also here. Notice that I did a lot of research to try to find the best rubberised material and the best one that I found and it's working very well is the FilaFlex 82A. It's not a cheap filament but if we sum the amount that we will pay for a new set of tires is a really good deal. Because to print these two rear tires Prusa Slicer calcutated the final cost of that print in 4.14€. With this amount I'm not able to by on Amazon a set o tires and at same time I save time because I don't need to wait the shipping time ;) I just print during night and in morning I have a new set of tires ;) ready to burn! Printed parts: - Tiers were printed without infill. - All body parts were printed on PETG with 8% infill (Brand Tucab - Is a Portuguese Filament Company) - Differential gears were printed in PETG with 100% infill (Brand Tucab) - Motor gear were printed in PLA with 100% infill (Brand Tucab) For the eletronics I have used: - brushless motor that is very very :O (DollaTek 3660 with 3300 KV and 60A ESC) (Amazon) - GOLDBAT RC Battery 2S 5200 mAh 7,4 V 80C LiPo 2S RC and also OVONIC Battery LiPo RC 2200 mAh 7,4 V 2S 50C (Amazon) - AZDelivery MG995 Micro Digital Servo Motor (Amazon) - Tongdejing Mini Gyro (https://www.amazon.es/-/pt/dp/B08XVNZ6LL/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1MBRMF3UWWUEO&keywords=tongdejing+mini+modulo+gyro&qid=1643228046&s=toys&sprefix=tongdejing+mini+m%C3%B3dulo+gyro%2Ctoys%2C75&sr=1-1) (Amazon) - Radio Control is the Flysky 2.4g 10ch FS-i6S Also all the creadits are from the inicial designers and there projects. I just did some ajustments.
