MyoWare Muscle Sensor Enclosure

MyoWare Muscle Sensor Enclosure

thingiverse

This is a 3D printed one-piece enclosure I designed for the MyoWare Muscle Sensor (AT-04-001). With my expert background in creating wearables (founder of GyroPalm), I'm always eager to explore new areas that could use a positive improvement. While browsing the web, I noticed that many people who created DIY prosthetics use the MyoWare sensor, but do not have anything to protect the PCB from electrostatic discharge or water damage. A protective casing is needed as it would provide a nice aesthetic and scratch-resistant surface should the wearer decide to use the sensor on a daily basis. What I have created is a one-piece casing that snaps into place with the PCB. I have created holes to account for the main switch, ground electrode, and power/output pins. The ground reference wire must be first inserted through its respective hole before the board is snapped in place. If the assembly rattles, print the Myoware_plate file as well. Slot it underneath the PCB as shown in one of the pictures. Add a piece of tape or a drop of super glue to hold it all in place. If you found these parts helpful, please don't forget to send me a tip or buy me a cup of coffee! Disclaimer: I make no guarantees for durability, and take no liability for any damages should you use this design in your project. Print and use it at your own risk.
