Myford Super 7 Lathe Tachometer Mount
thingiverse
I designed this Tachometer mount for my Myford Super 7 lathe. It mounts to the top of the change gear cover at the rear of the head. It is designed around an 8-24 VDC tachometer which is available from many sources. This consists of a hall effect sensor with a 12mm threaded body and a tacho unit (approximately 40 x 80 mm). In order to mount this you will need to locate and drill a hole in the (aluminium) cover directly above the spindle locking ring. The tacho magnet locates in a hole in the spindle ring.
