Myasishchev Subject 34 Chayka was conceived to neutralize the threat of high-altitude surveillance balloons from Projects Skyhook, Genetrix, Mogul, and Moby Dick, among others. Initially, the first Chayka crashed during a test, prompting the cancellation of the project until the Soviet Union required its own U-2 like spy plane. It was then redeveloped as the M-17 Stratosphera, later evolving into the dual-engined M-55 Geophyisca with distinct differences in wing design. This model represents the original Chayka design, with the M-17 featuring a slightly altered wing and the M-55 being its more advanced counterpart. The 3D model is created in full dimensions using Blender 2.79b, scaled to 1/100 for the .stl file, and then reduced to 35% in the slicer for printing purposes. A ruler is included for size reference; if it cannot be printed, it will not be posted.
