The Unimat 3 is a beloved miniature lathe that comes with a somewhat underpowered motor and an old sewing machine style belt system, notoriously prone to slippage and breakage. A preferred substitute for the original motor is the MY6812 scooter motor, available in both 12v and 24v versions. This is a straightforward mounting system for the MY6812 which can then be connected to the headstock shaft via a timing belt. I printed the clamp and bracket in PETG for added durability.
