Needed a solution to integrate the MY1018-1 gear motors into another rover build. Created this mounting adapter to meet that need. The adapter, shown without a gear motor for illustrative purposes, underwent modifications to reach its final version due to minor discrepancies in dimensions. This mounting adapter utilizes 5mm screws that come with the gear motors to secure it in place, offering flexibility to extend up to 20mm if needed. The slotted holes are designed to accommodate 1/4" bolts, allowing for adjustments to be made to fine-tune chain tension. The gear motors and adapters will be mounted on 1/8" aluminum plates. A carefully cut oval shape, oversized to ensure a smooth fit, allows the gear motor to be secured without removing the sprocket. However, it's essential to remove the sprocket when mounting the gear motors onto the adapters.
