My Twin Dream FC Mount
thingiverse
I am finally sharing my flight controller mount for the MTD that I designed a long time ago. Recently, I made some changes to make it easier to print without supports. I've also included the 1-piece cradle for those who prefer it over the screw-down rails. This mount uses silicone dampers and can be used in various non-dampened applications as well. Once installed, the visible section of the damper needs to be about 6mm long. The overall length will be around 12-13mm, and the part that goes inside the hole should be 5.5-6mm. Currently, I have plates for the Pitlab OSD/AP, the Pixhawk2 Cube, and two universal mounts. If you want me to add a custom mount, send me a message with the details and I'll look into it. This mount consists of a glue plate that gets glued to the bottom side of the hatch area on three sides - the blue area only in the included picture. Then there are two separate rails that make it easily printed without supports, and the main carriage that holds the mounting plate where the auto-pilot is attached. The mount has level correction built-in so that during level cruising, the FC is level. The MTD flies nose-up about 2.3 degrees, so this was taken into account during design. All screw holes are for M3 hardware.
