my toy train track
thingiverse
I wanted more tracks for my toy train, so I designed some myself. The gauge is .625 inches, I believe, or about 24mm. I planned to use a 2-gram micro servo for switching. There's also some Arduino and Android code on https://github.com/bond4u/LocOp. Control Your Loco from an Android app over Bluetooth. I added some .stl files. In scad, you can specify length, radius, arc: straight(6); // 6 inch straight piece curveR(20); // curve right with a 20 inch radius and no degrees arc switch1(10,30); // switch to left and right with a 10 inch radius and 30 degrees arc. Print Settings Notes: For adhesion I used about 7 loops of skirt at distance .04 inches.
