My Self
thingiverse
I created a 3D scan of myself using the Kinect 360 and Skanect software with a big smile on my face :) The Kinect 360 was connected to my trusty Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop, which was running Windows 10 smoothly. It had a powerful Core i5 processor, 6GB of RAM, Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 for graphics rendering, and a USB 2.0 port that I used conveniently. To get the best results, I discovered that it's essential to have uniformly dispersed light in the room, especially on bright but cloudy days when natural light pours in through the windows. I also found that using a revolving chair without a backrest worked wonders for capturing my full body from all angles. The Kinect 360 sensor was placed at eye level, about two feet away from my face. To take it to the next level, I added a third STL of myself wearing a suit, and I'm thrilled with how it turned out!
