My print cuts to Magneto Helmet: X-men First Class by Landru,
thingiverse
I am proudly displaying the files that I have carefully cut and scaled to fit my head perfectly - a precise 7 3/4 head size. Full credit goes to the brilliant model created by Landru, released on September 29, 2011. I'm posting these files in response to numerous requests from fellow makers who asked me to share how I expertly sliced them to fit my trusty Robo Plus printer. To achieve this precise cut, I relied on Simplify 3D's powerful slicing capabilities. Now, let's dive into the print settings that brought this project to life: **Printer Settings** * Printer Brand: Robo 3D * Printer Model: R1 ABS + PLA Model **Print Options** * Rafts: Not a concern - I opted for raftless printing. * Supports: Yes, I chose to include supports for added stability. * Resolution: I set the resolution to High for exceptional detail. * Infill: A 30% infill density ensured the print maintained its structural integrity. **Additional Notes** * I printed this model using PLA for its excellent layer adhesion and durability. **Post-Printing Process** After printing, I applied a coat of glue followed by a layer of Flex bondo. This special bondo is designed specifically for watercraft, guaranteeing it won't crack when flexed - perfect for my printer's unique movements. Finally, I sealed the model with a durable Plasti-dip finish.
