MY.MO - your personal motivator

MY.MO (aka my motivator or my money) is a project I've created for a contest in an increasingly dematerialized world. I wanted to design a "motivator" that's a big physical object, a tangible presence of the goals we give ourselves with a simple interaction system that tracks our progress. Take a standard Post-it note (79x79mm), write down your resolution. Every time you're closer to your goal, move the cursor, the Post-it, and the large arrow pointing to it - tilt it a few degrees. If you move away from your goal, move the cursor backwards; for example, if you've written that you want to lose 10kg and at some point you've taken 1kg. When you reach 100%, the mechanism unlocks, falling with noise, you hit your goal! The large empty space becomes a perfect piggy bank where you can put money to make your own wish come true - but be careful, it's also easy to get the money back! I designed MY.MO so that glue, screws, bolts or other things aren't necessary to assemble; simply print the seven pieces without support and build your MY.MO.
