My Medieval Villa

My Medieval Villa

myminifactory

Hi!  This is my entry for the Townbuilder competition. After considering many ideas, I decided to develop the concept of a Medieval Villa. For this project, I considered what would be the main necessities and luxuries that a medieval villa owner would require. This is my first project created with Townbuilder Townsmith and I can not believe how compelte and easy to use it is. I will definitely continue using it for my personal projects and hobbies. While modeling this, I wanted to challenge myself to think outside the box. I wanted to create beautfil buildings that conveyed a beautiful deisgn and a purpose. For the towers, I decided to create hexagon shapes, instead of using the commonly used circles to create something different. All my buildings have a base of stone and an upper body of wood. The details were thought as if I had to accomodate a family living there. The windows, the doors, and all details should have a purpose in my mind. I hope you guys like it and I am always open for suggestions and areas of improvement. I currently do not own a 3D printer. therefore, I am submitting only the images. I will try to print this as soon as I can or find a printing service.   For the "renderings" I decided to combine my model and detail painting it by using paint 3D. This took several hours but allowed me to color as detailed as possible, using the brush tool and selecting my exactly desired paint tones in each detail, I was able to picture the image I had in my mind.   For those of you not familiar with Townbuilder, I have attached 2 zip files (due to the100 mb limit per file). Each file, contains a folder for each floor. This was, you can print each floor separately and assembled them afterwards. If something does not need a support, you can group them. In this case, each floor is separate.   I hope you enjoy my entry!
