My First Customized Tree
thingiverse
The original tree model can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:279864, which was customized using the Customizer tool (http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=279864). Printed pictures are available of the tree after being printed on a Mojo and extracted from the Bath system. However, it is printed much smaller than desired; the user plans to print it larger by cutting it into pieces and trimming branch tips for a hollow inside, suitable for a special project. The user hopes to upload more images and possibly updated STL files soon (4/6/2014). The Bot-Guy created this post. For the customization process, set stop_budding_position to 60, start_budding_position to 50, maximum_branching_iterations to 6, and use a custom shape with specific coordinates and indices. Advanced settings are not used, while other parameters such as root_max_ratio, min_branching_angle, max_number_of_branches_from_each_branch, length_max_ratio, allowed_overhang_angle, length_min_ratio, tip_min_ratio, branch_cross_section_shape, allow_all_overhangs, branches_keep_growing, tip_max_ratio, base_shape, branch_twist_angle, max_branching_angle, trunk_radius, trunk_length, min_number_of_branches_from_each_branch, root_min_ratio, seed, and branch_diameter_cutoff are set to specific values.
