So I just finished this fire pit but I still need the half metal ring which I think will not be half inch thick but rather 1/4 inch. But the OD and ID are correct. This is dug into the ground as you can see then the 12" pavers which I named them 11.75 as I thought that was their measurement at first. There is 5 breathing holes on the second row and as you can see rows 2 and 3 are upside down as the lip of the brick anchors it.
